The Bloomfield Public School District provides education for more than 2400 multicultural students ranging from pre-school to high school age. The range of educational opportunities for students extends form early childhood programs to adult education.
The Board of Education employs approximately 260 certified staff and administrators and an additional 210 non-certified staff and food services workers in its facilities.

CREC Magnet School - Metropolitan Learning Center (Grades 6-12)
The global and international studies theme of the Metropolitan Learning Center emphasizes interdisciplinary global understandings. Opportunities for international exchange exist at all grade levels. A range of Advanced Placement (AP) courses are available, and both technology and world languages play integral roles across the curriculum. The school is designed around how the pre-adolescent and adolescent brains learn, and the school is considered the students' workplace. Their jobs are to learn, to grow and to give back to the community.
