Event:
Is Your Land Really Your Own? The Roles of Land Use Committees in Bloomfield
Date:
February 3rd, 2010
.
Time:
7:00 PM
Location:
Room 306 Bloomfield Senior Center

Bloomfield's Town Plan and Zoning Commission, Inland Wetlands Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals have great power to shape Bloomfield's future. Their decisions about how land in Bloomfield can be used define what individual property owners can do with their property and what image the town projects to its residents and visitors.
Join us to hear Barry Berson, Chairman of the TPZ, Jackie Isaacson, Chairwoman of the ZBA, and Nick Panke, Chairman of the IWC, discuss the responsibilities and constraints of their committees and how their committees relate to other governmental bodies. Councilman Jon Colman, who was chair of the TPZ and IWC for many years, will lead the discussion. Jon will also describe the importance of Bloomfield's Plan of Development, which will be updated in 2010.
Light refreshments will be served. For more information, contact: Lois Hager (242-5142), Al LeFebvre (242-8176) or Syd Schulman (243-0738).
This workshop is a project of the Bloomfield Democratic Town Committee. It is co-sponsored by the Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce and BATV. It is open to anyone regardless of party affiliation.
