I Ought to Be in Pictures, by Neil Simon. The play opened at the Eugene O'Neill Theater on April 3, 1980 and ran for 324 performances. This three-character comedy is Simon's 18th play. Meet Herb, who abandoned his family 16 years ago; Libby his daughter in search of a movie career and Herb's girlfriend Steffy, in this high-spirited and touching portrait of an unlikely family reunion. The recently formed group, Reader's Theater, features area actors and will be presenting play readings at Prosser Public Library this fall and winter. It will be pure theater, actors reading their parts with complete immersion in their characterizations.
