Prosser Library Assists Patrons with Low Vision

The Friends of the Bloomfield Public Libraries have donated funds for the Prosser Public Library in Bloomfield to purchase a MagniSIGHT machine. It is a closed circuit TV magnifier for use by people with low vision. A CCTV magnifies printed material onto a monitor. Library patrons may read materials within the library collection using the MagniSIGHT viewer or bring letters, hand written materials or other items such as photographs from home, to enlarge them for enhanced viewing at the library.

The magnifier is available for use by the public during all hours the Prosser Public Library is open. Ask staff at the adult reference desk for assistance with the magnifier. Call for information, 860-243-9721 or visit the library on line at
