A Message from the President of the Bloomfield Chamber
|
| |
The Bloomfield Chamber has been a proud advocate for its members and the Bloomfield business community since 1965. Over this time, the chamber has been a local linchpin: offering resources, providing trainings, and fostering connections that help businesses to grow, innovate, and evolve. As business needs have changed, so has the Chamber. Throughout, it has been the chamber’s ongoing goal to remain that axis and to grow into an organization that even better serves its members. Over the past 3 years, new pressures have forced us all to think strategically and to grow even leaner. Recognizing this reality, The Bloomfield Chamber’s volunteer Board of Director’s recently determined that the organization’s future vitality requires an evaluation of the needs of our members and change in its administrative model. Our goal is to ensure we are aligned to most efficiently serve members and fulfill our mission. As part of this process, Vera Smith-Winfree, the Chamber’s talented Executive Director, will leave the organization as of February 24th. During this transition, the Chamber Board will work to ensure that levels of service will remain the same and that core Chamber programs will continue. For 47 years, the Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce has been a part of the energy that makes Bloomfield such a vibrant community. As we make this change, we recommit to serving businesses in town and to helping Bloomfield prosper through this business community’s tremendous entrepreneurial spirit. If you have any questions or suggestions about these changes, please contact me directly at Alicia Flynn or call 860/286-9999. With thanks and gratitude for your patience and continued support as we restructure to better serve you. Alicia Flynn President Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce
