Governor Lamont Applauds House Passage of Legislation Relaxing State Laws on Outdoor Dining at Connecticut Restaurants

Legislation Codifies the Governor’s Executive Orders That Allow Restaurants to Expand Their Ability to Serve Customers Outdoors

(HARTFORD, CT) – Governor Ned Lamont is applauding the Connecticut House of Representatives for unanimously voting today to approve legislation that codifies into state statutes the executive orders he issued during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic that relax restrictions on outdoor dining at restaurants and enabling these businesses to provide expanded service to their customers outside. The legislation permits restaurants to operate under these relaxed rules through March 31, 2022, and allows municipalities to expedite permanent changes to their zoning rules if they wish to expand the availability of outdoor dining and retail activity.

Bloomfield Chamber Celebrates Black History Month

February is Black History Month, the month focusing on the education of issues facing the African-American/Black community relating to topics of representation, philanthropy, healthcare, and distribution of wealth. This February, to celebrate Black History Month, the Chamber is  providing businesses an opportunity to share that they’re Black owned and operated, and be featured on our social media accounts.
