The Bloomfield Chamber Scholarship

 

For over than 25 years, the Chamber hassupported the education ofstudents majoring in the arts, sciences, engineering, and many other disciplines. Students come from every background and bring with them a diverse approach to impacting change in the world around them.

Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce Scholarship recognizes high school seniors for their academic performance, leadership skills
and community engagement.

CRITERIA
To be considered for a scholarship, review the criteria and complete the
application by the deadline.

● Students must be a current resident of Bloomfield, CT, but do not need to attend
school in Bloomfield, CT to be eligible.
● Demonstrate ambition, self-drive, leadership, academic achievement and a
commitment to community service.
● Currently enrolled as a high school senior
● Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year
college or university or vocational-technical college in the United States for the
entire 2024–2025 academic year.
● Have a minimum GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent)
● Submit a completed application and supporting documentation by the designated deadline.

Application will be available on February 2025.

Three (3) scholarships will be awarded:

  • Bloomfield Chamber Scholarships (2 awards)
  • The Patricia H. Estill Scholarship Award (1 award)

Contours Hair and Spa Cosmetology Scholarship

Contours Hair and Spa, in partnership with the  Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce recognizes high school seniors interested in pursuing a career in cosmetology.

CRITERIA
To be considered for a scholarship during this application season,  review the criteria and complete the application by the deadline. 

  • Students must be a current resident of Bloomfield, CT, but do not need to attend school in Bloomfield, CT  to be eligible.
  • Demonstrate ambition, self-drive, leadership, academic achievement and community service.
  • Currently enrolled as a high school senior.
  • Proof of enrollment in an accredited cosmetology school in the United States for the entire current academic year.
  • Have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent)
  • Submit a completed application and supporting documentation by the designated deadline. 

One (1) scholarship will be awarded: $2000

*Recipient must participate in a two week shadow program at Contours in order to receive the second installment.*

Three recipients will be selected, each awarded a scholarship of $1000.

Contour Hair & Spa Scholarship Awards

One recipient will be selected and awarded a scholarship of $2,000.
